Jean E. Syswerda is the mother of three grown children, all married, nine fabulous grandchildren, and one great granddaughter. Though the years have brought much trauma and tragedy to her family, they all still enjoy getting together for good food, interesting conversation, and laughter. Much laughter. Jean enjoys traveling, watermelon, bringing new life to old furniture, reading good historical fiction, and the warmth of Florida sunshine in the winter. Jean is an author and a former editor and associate publisher at Zondervan Publishing House, where her passion grew for exceptional Bibles that encourage readers to dig deep into God’s Word. She has written numerous books and Bible studies, including the best-selling Women of the Bible (co-authored with Ann Spangler), which has sold over a million copies. She is also the author of My Bedtime Story Bible for infants and toddlers, the Super Heroes Bible for elementary-aged boys, and the recently released NIV Kingdom Girls Bible for elementary-aged girls.
